24 Oct 2014

It’s one week until Halloween! How are you planning to celebrate?
Here are our top five spooky cities!

1. Salem, MA, United States
Just 30 minutes outside Boston, the city of Salem has a dark history of witch trials and now dedicates the entire month of October to Halloween parades, celebrations and, finally, a spectacular grand ball.

2. New York, NY, United States
It’s fair to say that Halloween is a pretty big deal in New York City. As well as throwing a giant party in Greenwich Village and illuminating the Empire State Building with a Halloween light show, the Great Jack-o’-lantern Blaze in nearby Croton-on-Hudson attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.

3. London, United Kingdom
From spooky late-night tours of the Grant Museum of Zoology to terrifying tricks and treats in the London Dungeon, for festive fun this Halloween, the streets of old London town are the place to be.

4. Paris, France
Explore the underground caverns of the city’s catacombs, take a tour of its remarkable cemeteries, or simply join the festival of fun at Disneyland Paris for a Parisian treat this Halloween.

5. Mexico City, Mexico
El Dia de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is an ancient festival that’s been celebrated in Mexico for over 2,500 years.
